Shame on me for not taking a tour of this facility before committing to leaving my dog for boarding. upon entering this facility you will be greeted by the overwhelming smell of urine and a less than enthusiastic staff. In their defense the smell was nauseating so I'm not surprised. The standard kennels are mediocre and resemble a pound. The "suites" are what you would expect in your average sub standard facility.

Dr. Wixsom and her staff have cared for all my dogs for over 20 years. We also use them for our boarding needs. My dogs act very comfortable with her techs which tells me about the care they receive. We have gone from puppy care to end stage diseases with several dogs. Open frank discussions are appreciated. We weigh the options together and agree on a treatment plan and when the end inevitably comes, we both grieve.

I took my sweet cat to another local vet for their low cost spay and neuter option. The stitches they used were highly reactive and irritating to my cat. Her wound got infected and she busted a stitch. She became feverish and lethargic and I was worried for her health. I refused to take her back to the vet who improperly and inadequately closed the wound. Upon talking with a friend, I decided to take my cat to Dr. Wixsom. She explained everything thoroughly and gave her an antibiotic shot, pain medicine, an antiseptic wash, and put staples in her belly. She took out the ill performed stitch work. She's seen Pumpkin several times since then to check her wound and even did laser therapy to encourage further healing and pain management. She's like a new cat! I'm so thankful for the knowledgeable, thorough job that Dr. Wixsom provided and I have learned my lesson on low cost spay options. Just skip that step and take your beloved pet here first!

Dr. Wixom is very professional as well as her staff. Her building is alays clean and inviting to all ages...I changed vets this year to Dr. Wixom, she has been my parrot vet for several years, but not for my dogs...now we are a full family...5 dogs, 1 parrot. ..now to take the cat...

Dr. Wixsom really does love animals and is by far the best vet I've ever taken my dog to. I recently had a situation ordering heart worm medicine online and it took 2 month to straighten out. The staff worked very hard and did all they could to remedy the situation, especially Stephanie, who I am very grateful to. Take your animals here, these people care!

Typically boarding facilities do not house chickens, foxes and other wildlife in areas with the same ventilation systems. Kudos to them for wildlife rehabilitation but my pets sleep in a house not a barn. If that wasn't bad enough both times I asked about my pet the receptionist nodded and said she was good but when I pressed her on what my dog looked like she couldn't answer. In my opinion and 25yrs experience working as a Vet tech and owning a successful Pet Hotel your pet can do much better than this place.
